Kula’s Surfing Goat Dairy a finalist for business award

HONOLULU - Surfing Goat Dairy, located in Kula, is one of three finalists for a Hawaii Better Business Bureau 2009 Torch Award for in the small-business category.
The category covers businesses with fewer than 50 employees.
Winners will be announced during an awards luncheon April 29 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort & Spa in Honolulu.
Other nominees in the same category are Hawaii Pacific Entertainment, Hawaii Self Storage and ING Direct, according to a bureau announcement.
Surfing Goat Dairy is located on 42 acres off Omaopio Road, with almost two-thirds of the property dedicated to pasture. The dairy sells more than 25 different types of gourmet cheeses and other products.
